Trzęsacz

Just a few kilometers from Pobierowo lies the village of Trzęsacz, known to all Polish tourists. There are the most famous ruins in Poland...

"Trzęsacz (until 1945 German Hoff) – a village, a seaside resort with a seaside bathing area in northwestern Poland, in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in Gryfice County, in the Rewal commune. Located on the Baltic Sea, on the Szczecin Coast.

According to data from December 31, 2010, the village had 113 inhabitants.

The village contains the ruins of a Gothic church of St. Nicholas, built in the middle of the village at the turn of the 14th/15th century, almost 2 km from the sea. Originally a Catholic church, after the Reformation it became an Evangelical church. Abrasive processes caused the seashore to constantly approach the building. The last service was held in the church on March 2, 1874. In 1901, the first part of it collapsed. Today, only a fragment of the southern wall remains. In 2001–2002, intensive work was carried out to secure the ruins against storms. It is the only tourist attraction of its kind in Europe."

In beautiful weather and with a small number of tourists, one could calmly watch the historic ruins and the beach from a high-up pier.
