Chiang Mai The Temple Hill
The ninth of January 2011 we were at the top of Doi Suthep, commonly known as the Chiang Mai and then we wrote:
"A beautiful temple Wat Phra That Doi was built in the thirteenth century on the side of a mountain - Doi Suthep. The construction site was pointed by an elephant which had been freely let go with a relic of the Buddha attached to his back.
The tired animal died half the way to the top, which was considered a sign from heaven.
We were impressed by the contrast of the gilded temple with the colour of the blue sky. A magical place.”
Today, at the end of stay in Thailand (Monday 03rd od March we'll be at home), we can only add that the temple, a place of pilgrimage for many Buddhists, still impresses with its beauty. Especially in the setting sun!
Ufam, że marzenia się spełnią.
Adku! Już wiem gdzie jeździsz obcinać pazurki.
Wracajcie szczęśliwie, byle nie przez Krym.
