Good-bye to the summer?
This entry was inspired by the unusual temperatures in Poland at the end of summer 2024, in August and the first ten days of September!
Let’s remember this climate phenomenon!
It will soon become clear whether it is the result of global warming or just a small freak of nature.
After our holiday “events” in August, we decided to relax by the Polish seaside.
We chose Kołobrzeg to see the popular resort up close.
As a reward was beautiful weather with temperatures above 30°C!
This does not ever happen by the Polish seaside in September!
We saw the full season – many spa customers from outside Poland and many families with small children before school age.
Kołobrzeg is being built up with large hotels – sanatoriums, which have therapeutic offers for everyone. Certainly cheaper than in neighboring Germany.
May this “fashion” for the Polish coast last forever, and may the climate allow for competition with the countries of southern Europe!
We had a comfortable accommodation, ate good food, e.g. fried fresh Baltic herring (!!) washed down with local Colberg beer,
and watched spa guests and holidaymakers from different parts of the country (we heard many versions of the Polish language) and Germany.
P.S.
The water in the Baltic Sea was traditionally very cold and did not encourage even diving…
