A trip to Międzyzdroje
Yesterday evening we drove to Międzyzdroje (30 km from Dziwnów) to meet our friends from Bydgoszcz and "show off" a bit in a cult (?) place. Before the season ends.
“Międzyzdroje (Ger. Misdroy) - a city in north-western Poland, in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the Kamień district, the seat of the urban-rural commune of Międzyzdroje, located on the Baltic Sea, on the island of Wolin. According to data from December 31, 2010, the city had 5,479 inhabitants.
Międzyzdroje is a holiday and tourist center. There is a naturist beach, 3 km to the west from the pier. The city is the seat of the management of the Wolin National Park. A popular summer entertainment event is the European Stars Festival, which is held annually in July.”
In the pictures, I wanted to capture architectural diversity of the of the city where great changes are taking place and several high-rise buildings are under construction.
It seems to me that this is a bad imitation of the coastal cities of southern Europe.
The old architecture defends itself wonderfully, but the cruel tourist market has its inexorable rights.
