On the way from Agrigento to Syracuse
Wikipedia did not leave much space to the city called SCICLI: (according to my knowledge of Italian, it is pronounced: schickli.
"Scicli - town and commune in the Sicily region, in the province of Ragusa. According to data for 2004, the commune had a population of 25,560 people, 186.6 people / km²."
A quiet town with uniform buildings in the old center from the 17th century. An example of useful Baroque architecture.
We were (almost) witnesses at a civil wedding!
Being discreet and taking care of the anonymity of wedding guests - I took photos of the ladies' shoes. You should like them!
We relaxed with a beer and continued towards Syracuse.
Another surprise on the way: the city of NOTO.
Wikipedia is mean again. It is another late baroque town completely built from scratch after the great earthquake in the 17th century.
A city full of life and tourists, which impresses with its size, although it has only 25,000. residents. A really buzzing center!
We took a look at the gallery, where we mainly admired CARAVAGGIO due to lack of time.
