The Collection of the Morozov brothers
Everything is already clear: The collection will be presented until 04/04/22, and then it will probably wait in the deposit for better times ... The post-war.
We invite those interested to view a part of the collection.
The choice made according to my taste (love for Cezanne)!
Eleven exhibition halls, in each of them only a few, and at most a dozen thematically exhibited paintings, and sometimes only of a single painter.
1. Four Seasons - Bonnard
2. A day in Polynesia - Gaugin
3. The nature of things
4. Lovers of the storm
5. Unlimited Landscapes - Paul Cezanne
6. Portraits
7. Post-Cezanna modernism
8. Still life - basic things
9. The prisoner - Vincent Van Gogh
10. Between the worlds - Henri Matisse
11. Study acts
And so, my wish was fulfilled to see works from a private gallery nationalized in 1919 and finally shown outside of Russia!
I feel satisfied.
And you too? Or at least a little? I'd be happy.
