The NATO in Szczecin
Two months ago I received an invitation by mail:
Could I decline the invitation?
The procedure of registering for this ceremony was a bit complicated, but that was not the most important thing.
As it turned out, at the grandstand I was one of the very few civilians invited to this celebration. Did the other non-military invited refuse? Apart from the Vice President of Szczecin, I didn't see a single familiar face. In addition, I do not have the answer to the question according to which key this invitation came to me.
I am sitting in the last row in front of the stairs, and next to me there is a handsome security guard:
First, there was a meeting and a mini lunch in the halls of the National Museum on Wały Chrobrego, then the military parade, and in the evening a symphony concert and reception in the beautiful interiors of the Szczecin Philharmonic.
The military - it's not my world. I felt strange among generals, admirals and other officers (and their wives, of course), but I kept up the cut.
There are photos that would be difficult to take from a place other than the grandstand.
