Round and round
It's still beautiful! August is still very warm and encourages cycling around lakes. It’s still far to the end of summer, fortunately.
Along the way, we stopped at a playground where a Wojtek sculpture* was erected.
*Wojtek (born 1941 near Hamadan in Persia, died 2 December 1963 in Edinburgh) - Syrian brown bear adopted by soldiers of the 22nd Artillery Supply Company in the 2nd Polish Corps commanded by General Władysław Anders. The bear took part in the Battle of Monte Cassino. He was given the rank of corporal in the unit.
