Ivona Has arrived!
Travelling on the roads of Cambodia is an experience that can't be forgotten. The distance of 150 km between Kampot and Phnom Penh is usually covered in 4 - 5 hours, and sometimes even longer!
The condition of the roads after the rainy season is terrible. Currently, most of the route is in its periodic repair. Due to the high traffic on the road and maintenance works on many kilometres, the average speed of travel is very low.
The alternative is a train, which takes 7 hours to get there.
There are no other possibilities to reach the capital.
We left Kampot early enough to pick up Iwona from the airport. As a result, we had 3 hours of time to kill in the city. We planned to travel from the centre to the airport by train. Unfortunately, there was no service on the route this weekend due to repairs.
Such small obstacles made our waiting for the arrival of our guest more fun.
Well, she has arrived!
In a good mood after a 30-hour journey, Iwona could start a short stay in Phnom Penh!
