Out of boredom
Maybe out of a bit of boredom, and maybe out of spite whether I can do it or not, and maybe for the desire to eat a different dish ourselves, I decided to experiment with the local marinated products.
We have been eating the marinated cucumbers from the local market since the beginning - they taste a bit different, because there is no dill or garlic in them, but there are different fragrant spices.
We have not found sauerkraut. And we wanted a mushroom-marinated something stuffing. And that's how I used the marinated leaves of the local spinach variety.
Oyster mushrooms + marinated spinach + onion = stuffing
And what's next with this stuffing?
Dumplings! In a Czech style (knedliky)!
They can be served "as they come", or with any sauce. Here (for us) was a tomato and cream sauce.
