Our new means of transport
You remember dr. Rysio don't you? He spent a year in Cambodia; and in Takeo, on a three-month volunteering he was riding a bike similar to those used by half of the population of this country.
He left orphaned his beloved vehicle leaving for Poland, and he asked us to take care of the machine during his absence.
We are afraid that they will not see each other again!!
The bike needs a major refurbishment, but for its age - it goes ahead!
Paweł left the machine i the hands of young amateurs - mechanics who mediocrily managed to bring the vehicle to a better condition.
Adek picked up the motorbike in Takeo (80 km from Kampot) and rode back home.
He is back!
All covered with road dust, tired, hungry, but happy that he arrived unhindered.
Tomorrow we will give him (the biker, not Adeka) into a little more professional hands to assess whether it is worth investing in or buying a slightly younger model.
Following the Cambodian custom the bike is going to live with us. This means that during the night we will bring it inside. That's what everyone does; cars including. They are family memberstoo, aren't they. Very important ones and needed!
PS
Kamel comes to milk and beef and ... disappears. He does not like to be looked at!
