In Mondulkiri

We'll talk later on tonight about how we got to the Mondulkiri mountains and what what was gpoin on. And a lot has happened. Note: everyone is sound and healthy!

Before I talk about the events in the jungle during the trekking of our group, I will start with such a quote:

"Prime Minister Hun Sen called on representatives of all legal bodies in Cambodia, services and politicians to intensify their efforts to save Khmer forests and protect nature. During a meeting on the state of the local biosphere, he appealed for a policy of lack of mercy towards those who lead to the destruction of the country's flora and fauna. "

Unfortunately, the cruel truth looks bad. In addition to predatory logging, forests are fired to obtain land for profitable crops, e.g. rubber trees or cashew trees.

Trekking through the jungle makes an impression especially watching this dramatic deforestation.

What will happen in Cambodia in a few decades? The future for today's generation is TOMORROW.
