In the Mondulkiri mountains
We set off to the mountains ...
We had over 400 km to Senmonorom, the capital of the Mondulkiri province, which meant 7 - 8 hours of driving.
It ment just nothing for us!
We have got accommodation in "Indigenous People's Lodge" bungalows. Thanks to that, we participate in the project of supporting local people who run family businesses, instead of providinh the cash to foreign investors.
For someod our participants, the accommodation in this type of bungalows was an attraction in itself.
This morning, part of the group, those physically stronger, went on a two-day trek to the jungle and the meeting the elephants.
The second part, not necessarily weak, but infected, rested by a waterfall.
Recreation of local people consists in resting in hammocks on wooden platforms, where meals are serves on order.
We did the same together with our driver - guide.
