In Muscat for a while at night
We arrived in the capital late in the evening, but we could not deny ourselves the pleasure of walking along the boulevard, the Corniche.
At the beginning we encountered a problem with the parking payment as it is payable until 9pm.
There’s one way of the payment via phone text, but you have to have a car with the Omani registration. Or coins, but these were withdrawn after the denomination.
So what to do?
We ran to the nearby shops and managed to get the equivalent of 2 zł in the coin! It took us an hour!
A short walk and we were ready for the hotel after a very interesting, but exhausting day.
Already the drive through the city meant that Muscat has done on all of us a very good impression. Excellent express roads, flowery green lawns on the roadsides. On both sides of the motorway there ar impressive buildings shining white.
Muttrah - Muscat's old quarter is a typical Arab world, but more on that tomorrow ...
