The capital in a festive dress
We are here in Warsaw on the New Year's Eve, at the Parliament House to demonstrate our disapproval of the violation of democracy and civil rights in our country.
To our surprise, we can observe a city in which seemingly nothing bad is happening. And even on the contrary, we can see beautiful Christmas street lighting, many amused and satisfied tourists, well-dressed, obviously wealthy passers-by, colorful shops and their loud advertising .... . A beautiful country, a beautiful capital city ....
Politically clueless tourist may think that people live prosperously and happily here!
We, however, we do not get fooled by the propaganda of those at power, and together with everybody else who get together at the Parliament buildings, we make wishes for the coming year: may today's authoritarian rule finally end their destructive actions in our country!
