Pindaya - the images of the Buddha
A visit Pindaya - in the cave of 8800 thousands of the Buddha images is being described today by Ola and Gabrysia:
A word from Gabriela and Ola: Thank you for the invitation to contribute to this blog.
It is going to be grammatically inaccurate and not on the subject, we are afraid.
After a week of our fascinating journey, we still have a lacquer on the nails of the toes and fingers, there remain clean clothes in the suitcases and excess of unnecessarily taken drugs.
We are using only one particular group of pharmaceuticals. Guess which one it is. It is not the fault of the excellent local cuisine but only the revenge of the Buddha, whose job is to heal us today ...
What the Buddha looks like, everyone can see!
The multiplicity of the images is inscrutable for us, but we hope that they will support us in our weakness.
The cave with thousands of the Buddhas (grammatically correct?) is located in Shan state near Lake Inle.
According to a legend, the entrance to the cave, in which were closed seven princesses, was guarded by a giant spider. A crown prince defeated him with one shot of a bow.
What do you think? Which of the princesses the prince chose to be his wife? The oldest one? Or maybe the youngest, but the prettiest?
This huge cave is high on a mountainside. As you would expect it is visited by thousands of Buddhist followers and tourists.
The Images of the Buddhas of various sizes are placed in every available spot of the cave, from the foot of it to the top, from which hang many stalactites. The cave is approx. 2,500 years old.
It is a pity that our amateur pictures do not fully reflect the beauty of the place.
A na chorobę należy stale przepłukiwać żołądek ;)
Proszę turystki tylko o rozwagę, przy tym zwiedzaniu;)
Pozdrawiamy - my, Kasztaniaki!
