Award for the persistent
Today a special award for our persistent readers:
After a farewell drink at The Balcony - a well-known place in the entertainment centre of Bangkok - we went to the biggest disco in the city - the DJ Station.
What kind of music they "give" there, is easy to imagine, a little harder to take it to "the ear". Only for the determined or well intoxicated.
But this was not our goal. This time we wanted to watch a drag show∗ with an enraptured, international crowd of spectators of both sexes. This gender mix has been having fun at the disco for years at the disco. The place is assumed to be gay, but it is a known fact that girls eagerly frequent such places having a great fun and feeling safe...
Here are some snapshots of the farewell evening in Bangkok.
∗ for the uninitiated: on stage EXCLUSIVELY men
WE ARE FAMULY...I HAVE ALL MY SISTERS WITH ME (TO READ SINGING!!!)
