New Orleans at night
...in the afternoon and at night
Time to finish off beaching and continue our trip. This time our destination is New Orleans in Lousiana.
From Florida, across Alabama and Mississippi (only 100 km across each state), we got into Lousinana. Hude bridges over the Mississippi River delta were our first impression driving into great New Orleans.
Last night we managed to see a small feagment of the French Quarter - Bourbon Street. The historic street is the entertainment centre of the city, and many of its clubs, bars and resturants are the oldest in the country. The night life of New Orleans concentrates just here and what was happening last night in Bourbon Street (named in honor of the House of Bourbon, the ruling French Royal Family, at the time of the city's founding) in the huge crowd of people, one could take for some crazy festival. Actually, it was a "usual" Wednesday.
