The Norblin Factory
Norblin, Brothers Buch and T. Werner, real name Towarzystwo Akcyjne Fabryk Metalowych "Norblin, Bracia Buch i T. Werner" – a company from the metal sector, operating in Warsaw. After World War II, nationalized and operating under the name Walcownia Metali "Warszawa", and since 1991 Norblin S.A. Until 1982, it was located at ul. Żelazna 49/53, and then at ul. Palisadowa.
"The Norblin Factory is a 2-hectare area in Warsaw's Wola district filled with extraordinary history. The area, which for years was a neglected pearl of post-industrial architecture, has been transformed into a new part of the city with offices, shops, restaurants, cafes, a Food Town, an ecological bazaar, a boutique cinema and an open museum commemorating the history of one of the largest industrial enterprises of the former Kingdom of Poland!"
It is worth checking out Wikipedia and reading the history of this industrial plant, which is evidence of industrialization in Poland, although late, but so modern for those times! Currently, it is a huge shopping and entertainment center, which absorbed the remains of the Norblin plant, which brilliantly exhibits what was most important in the production of... including silverware!
It is also worth going there to tour what is left of the Norblin Factory, with or without a guide, and then choose a pub with good food and... a pint or two!!
