Beaches of Veracruz
Today in Xalapa and its vicinity was a misty and drizzly day with the temp. of 15C. We drove to the coast close to Veracruz where it was a sunny but windy day with the temp. of 20C.
Juan and Krystyna took us in their jeep for a whole day trip. Wer had a company of their pointer dog - Lola. We went to two beaches, a sandy one and a rocky one. The Mexicans took to the beaches with their families for picnicing (Sunday). Their main concern was eating and drinking. They didn't seem to mind the trush around them.
Since a tourist doesn't live by beaches only, so we went to a closeby Vill Rica, a historic place where exactly on its waters Hernán Cortés anchored his naves and in 1519 on this coast built the first settlment of the Spanish Conquest.
Above it, on the Bernal Hill,we saw an archeological site of the Totonac tribe. They were first to negotate with Cortés.
Jacek, you seemed to get along well with lovely Lola :)
Piękna ta LOLA!
